Northern Pride, Inc is a grower-owned turkey processing facility located in Thief River Falls, Minnesota - right at the heart of many long-time turkey producers. The cooperative was formed in 1989 by ambitious independent turkey growers throughout Northern Minnesota and North Dakota who had a passion for the industry. Turkey production has been active for over 60 years in Northern Minnesota with many turkey farms now continuing the tradition through 2nd and 3rd generation families. The current 19 turkey grower/owners that purchased the processing plant from Land O’ Lakes take pride in producing high-quality turkeys for the large and small retailers, distributors, exporters, and foreign customers spread throughout the world. Northern Pride is a seasonal plant operating from April through December each year processing the turkeys grown by the member/owner growers.

Our specialty lies in our primary products of whole body turkeys packed in private and packer labels for the retail and distributor markets. Northern Pride also produces a line of bone-in-breast, tray-pack parts, and bulk commodity parts. We also specialize in individually gift boxed turkeys, free-range turkeys, and antibiotic-free turkeys.

Northern Pride, Inc. processes approximately 40 million live pounds of turkey annually and welcomes over 200 employees to our company family. In an average processing day, Northern Pride will process around 20,000 turkeys per day.
