Production Supervisor / Food Processing Supervisor Job Details
Year-round position in the company’s labor pool accountable for organizing and supervising food production employees on a daily basis. Also, serves a key day-to-day leader ensuring proper food safety procedures and smooth operation of line.
Supervises and plays a key role with set up of production lines prior to start of each day and ensures department is ready.
Tracks and monitors employee disciplinary action and addresses issues in a timely manner.
Monitors and records attendance on a daily basis.
Monitors production and food safety throughout the day performing and/or monitoring quality checks and standards as designated per company and USDA policies/regulations.
Maintains thorough knowledge of HACCP regulations and all production procedures, equipment.
To uphold company mission statement towards supplying safe, high quality turkey products.
Assures production lot changes are handled in compliance to company policy.
Monitors/assists with housekeeping procedures.
Monitors/assists with new employee training.
Conducts performance evaluations for line employees.
Works with other management personnel and USDA to assure overall plant operations are handled in compliance to guidelines.
Strong reading and math skills, typically gained through at least a high school diploma or GED.
Requires prior knowledge of production line operations and equipment.
